How to Save Music from Reels Separately from Videos

instagram

Instagram Reels are short, dynamic videos that often go viral thanks to trending music or original soundtracks. Sometimes you want to save the music from a Reels video you like so you can use it in your own videos, make a ringtone, or just listen to it offline. There are several ways to save audio separately from video, and they are all quite simple.

The first option is to use Instagram’s built-in tools. In every Reels video that has music or sound, the track name is displayed at the bottom of the screen. Clicking on it will take you to a page with that audio. Here you can select “Save Audio,” and the track will appear in the “Saved” section of your profile. The downside of this method is that the music remains only within the app: you can apply it to new Reels, but you won’t be able to download it to your phone.

The second method is to use online services to extract audio from Reels. They work directly in your browser and are suitable for both computers and smartphones. To use such a service, you need to copy the link to Reels: click “⋯” and select “Copy link.” Then open the downloader website (for example, Snapinsta, iGram, Inflact) and paste the link into the field. Usually, the service will first offer to download the video, as well as the option “Download Audio” or “MP3.” Select audio, and you will end up with an MP3 file that you can listen to on any device.

The third option is mobile apps. There are many programs available on the App Store and Google Play for downloading music from social networks. They all work the same way: you paste the link to Reels and select to save the audio. These apps are convenient if you often work with content and want to store all your downloaded tracks in one place.

The fourth method is screen recording or system audio recording. This method is suitable if the services are temporarily unavailable or the music is rare and cannot be downloaded directly. On an iPhone, you can enable the screen recording function via the Control Center and then play Reels. After recording, the video can be easily trimmed, leaving only the audio. Android also has built-in recording tools, and if they are not available, you can download third-party applications. Then you can extract the audio track using an editor, such as the CapCut application or any converter.

Thus, there are various methods for saving music from Reels separately from the video: built-in Instagram features, online services, mobile applications, and screen recording. If it is important for you to listen to the track offline and use it in any applications, it is better to choose to download it in MP3 format using online tools or applications. If you only need to use the music to create new Reels, the “Save Audio” button within Instagram will suffice.
