Bulk Downloading Photos from Instagram

smartphone

Instagram is currently the largest photo storage site in the world. You can find images on any topic on the site, which is useful for content creators, marketers, and arbitrageurs looking for visuals for their creative work. However, the service does not provide for bulk downloading of photos. Here’s what to do if you need to save all the images from your own or someone else’s account.

Method 1: Request an archive from Instagram

This method is suitable for those who want to back up images from their account. Instagram* allows users to request a download of an archive containing all their activity.

To request an archive, you need to specify the email address used to register the page. This method works when you open the website on a computer.

Go to your account settings and open the “Privacy and Security” tab.

  • Scroll down the page and find the “Download Your Data” section. Click on the “Request File” link.
  • If you registered with an email address, the service will automatically fill in the address. If the field is empty, enter your email address. An archive containing all your account data and activity will be sent to that address.
  • If you wish, you can specify the format in which to save your history: HTML page or JSON file.
  • Click “Next” and enter your Instagram account password. Then click “Request File.”

A link to the file will be sent to the specified email address. Depending on the volume of activity on your account, it may take up to 14 days to collect the information.

Method 2: Downloading a web page

Another quick option for a computer is to save the entire HTML page. This allows you to download images from someone else’s account. This option is suitable for pages with a small number of images, as you need to scroll to the very top of the page. For accounts with lots of photos, this will be problematic.

  • Open the desired account and right-click on the page.
  • Select “Save Page As.”
  • Under “File Type,” select “Entire Web Page.”
  • Select the folder where you want to save the web page and click “Save.”

An HTML file and a new folder with the same name will be created in the selected directory. It will contain all the images that you scrolled through on the page.

Method 3: 4K Stogram

The software is available for macOS and Windows of any bit depth. The application can download all types of posts—pictures, reels, stories, hashtags. It supports downloading posts from your own account and from other people’s pages, including private ones.

  • Log in to the program through your Instagram account.
  • Enter the username or appropriate hashtag in the search bar. Select the appropriate option from the list of suggestions.
  • Click on the settings icon next to the “Download” button to select the type of content to download. Here you can specify a specific time period during which posts were published. If you want to download all posts at once, leave this field blank.
  • Click “Download.” The images will be saved to the “Images” directory in a new folder named after your account.

Conclusion

As you can see, downloading images from Instagram in bulk or uploading a profile to a PC is not as difficult as it may seem at first glance. If you are looking for an option for Android, the Fast Save program is suitable for you—in it, bulk downloads are paid for separately.
